I’ve heard several candida news reports recently which alarmed me. It has been known for a long time that candida infects people with low immune systems and therefore people with severe illnesses such as cancer are often suffering from candida too. But now reports are starting to coming out about the dangers of candida to seriously ill people in hospital. It appears that candida albicans is becoming resistant to the normal drugs used by hospitals. These are called Echinocandins range of drugs. Some of the articles are quite frightening and suggest that candida could replace MRSA as the most feared superbug. I wonder when the hospitals will start to investigate colloidol silver as a way of killing candida? Perhaps if candida albicans starts to make headlines will doctors start to take it more seriously? I really hope so.

This is really worrying but I think it needs press stories like this before doctors will take it seriously. I think they will only take it really seriously when a drugs company comes up with a profitable vaccine or treatment and it offers highly prized incentives to the docs to prescribe it. Call me cynical but its what I’ve noticed about docs – they love patented drugs not freely available natural remedies.

I’m amazed that’s all you had to do to beat candida. Are you sure you were 100% right about your candida diagnosis? No offence but I took 1000mg Vit C for years while I had candida and it didnt make any difference to the candida.

Thanks for your feedback Alan. I agree with your view but I also think docs believe all the studies that the drugs companies do and not many natural remedies get studied as well simply because they cant be patented so no profit in them. And your comment about the vaccine could come true as I’ve heard rumours that a drugs company really is developing a candida vaccine. I wouldn’t brave enough to try it though!
